LAGKING TV

Every putt, on the big screen.

LagKing TV puts the 3D green on your TV. Every putt you hit through the gate rolls out on screen, big enough for the whole room to watch. Your phone runs the session, so you never touch a remote.

Free with your gate. Apple TV app, or any TV through a computer.

How it works

Your gate pairs with your phone like always. The phone sends each putt to the TV over the internet.

  1. 1

    Open LagKing TV

Open the LagKing app on your Apple TV, or go to tv.lagking.com on a computer. The screen shows a six-digit code.

  2. 2

Enter the code on your phone

In the LagKing app, go to Settings, TV, Add a TV and type the code. On iPhone you can scan it instead.

  3. 3

    Start putting

Open any mode on your phone and putt. The TV follows along. You only pair once: next time, the TV reconnects on its own.

The Apple TV app

The best way to play LagKing on a TV.

ON THE APP STORE

LagKing for Apple TV

A native app, free with your gate. Search for LagKing in the App Store on your Apple TV, install it, and pair it with your phone. No computer, no cables, nothing to keep open.

WHICH APPLE TV

Built for Apple TV 4K

Works on every Apple TV 4K. The newest models run the full graphics; older ones switch to simpler graphics on their own so the roll stays smooth. The older Apple TV HD may install it, but we can't promise it plays smoothly.

Why no Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, or smart TV app?

We built and tested them. They didn't play well enough to ship.

LagKing TV draws a live 3D green, lighting, and a rolling ball many times a second. Most streaming sticks and smart TVs are built to play video, not to draw 3D. Their graphics chips have a fraction of the power of an Apple TV 4K, and a fraction of what's in your phone. On them, the roll stutters and the green looks flat. We'd rather point you to something that plays great than ship an app that plays badly.

No Apple TV? Use a computer

Any laptop or desktop from the last several years draws LagKing TV smoothly. Open tv.lagking.com in Chrome, Safari, or Edge, press Full screen, and get it onto your TV one of these ways.

BEST PICTURE

HDMI cable

Plug the computer into the TV with an HDMI cable (most newer laptops need a USB-C to HDMI adapter). Sharpest picture, no delay. Set the TV to that HDMI input.

MAC, NO CABLE

AirPlay

On a Mac, open Control Center, choose Screen Mirroring, and pick your TV. Many Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Roku TVs accept AirPlay, no Apple TV needed.

CHROME, NO CABLE

Cast a tab

In Chrome, open the menu, choose Cast, pick your Chromecast or Google TV, and cast the tab. Handy, though the picture can be a little softer than a cable.

NO TV NEARBY

Just the computer

A laptop screen works too. Set it at the end of your putting area and play on it directly.

You can also open tv.lagking.com in your TV's own web browser, but most TV browsers are too slow to roll the putt smoothly. And you can always mirror your phone's screen to the TV. It works, but your phone draws the green and has to stay on the whole time, so it uses more battery than LagKing TV and you can't use the phone for anything else while you putt.
